Terms and Conditions
All project fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable to other persons and/or other People & Pets Project opportunities. Upon acceptance of your application, a deposit of $250 is due to hold your spot. We accept payment in full at any time or you can pay in two installments of $650 each. The first installment is due February 15, 2025. The second installment is due April 20, 2025. We encourage volunteers to purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen illness, injury, or extreme weather causing flight delays and/or cancellations. You can purchase affordable travel insurance here.

Cancellation Policy
In the event this trip with People & Pets Project and our partner, Heart of Travel, is not canceled by us but rather by you, the traveler, and you have chosen not to join the trip for whatever reason, including COVID-19, then the following policy will apply:

Cancellation 181 days or more before the trip’s start date: Fully refundable minus a $50 administrative fee.
Cancellation 121-180 days before the trip’s start date: Loss of entire deposit, the rest of the trip payment is fully refundable.
Cancellation 75-120 days before the trip’s start date: Loss of entire deposit with 50% of the trip payment refundable.
Cancellation 1-74 days before the trip’s start date: No refunds are guaranteed.

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an email from People & Pets Project with participation confirmation and online payment information. We will also send mailing instructions for those of you who prefer to mail a check.
